It seems to be quite
impossible to choose only one experience in India.
The best experiences I have
ever had in this amazing country are those related to meet and get to know
people who are completely different than me.
Having conversations with my colleagues regarding to love, marriage,
life, travels, family, money, politics…those are moments I will never forget in
my life.
Beside that I suggest...
Must do:
· Attend a wedding
in Rajasthan and feel like if you were in a fairy tale.
· Visit the Taj
Mahal in Agra and understand what the power of love can do.
· Take a walk around
Old Delhi streets.
· Experience the
feeling of being a real foreigner while saying yes to all the local people who
want a picture with you while walking through Mumbai streets.
· Travel by train to
Tamil Nadu’s Hill Stations (I suggest Ooty, Connor and Kodaikanal)
· Feel the spirit of
“a little bit of France” in Pondicherry and have nice coffee in “Le Café”
· Pray in any small
temple while coming back home from office.
· Stay at least one
hour inside Meenakshi Temple in Madurai. Feel the power of God Shiva in your
heart.
· Eat Puri, Idly or
Masala Dosa for breakfast.
· Feel the emotion
of going to the movies and shout like everybody else when the protagonist of
the movie comes to scene.
· Cry while eating
spicy food.
· Go for a nice
steak and enjoy the beach in Mahabalipuram
· Wear a nice and
stylish Saree for any special occasion.
· Tip for girls: buy
some colorful Kurtis and leggings to go to office (they will save your life)
and buy at least 2 pairs of Bata ballerinas (all the rest of the fancy shoes
you brought from home will be spoiled, trust me)
· Buy beautiful
handmade carpets in Jaipur
· Have dinner at
your best Indian friend’s house in Bangalore (as I did)
· Be completely
delighted about Indian sweets. Eat as much as you can! :)
· Visit Golconda
Fort in Hyderabad.
· Watch the most
beautiful sunrise in Kanyakumari, the most austral city in India.
India gave me some of the best times I have ever had and I will be
always grateful for that!
I am very happy and willing to have much more nice experiences in the next months!
